The history of worship in Rocky Hill Connecticut can be traced to the year 1722. In May 1722, the General Assembly incorporated the Parish. Today the churches in Rocky Hill, Connecticut include the Rocky Hill Congregational Church, Rocky Hill United Methodist Church, Saint Andrews Church, Saint Elizabeth Seton Church and Saint James Church.

The Saint Andrew the Apostle has 400 members. This includes 150 households and 72 children who are enrolled in the Sunday school. It was started in April 1960, when few men and women met with Reverend Edward H. Cook and requested his permission to set-up a mission.

Saint James Church is a Roman Catholic Parish, which was founded in the year 1850. The church is well established with various ministries taking care of various activities. Among the various committees, the Church has a Hospitality Committee, Community Life Committee and Young adult Ministry.

The Rocky Hill Congregational Church is almost 300 years old. Today it is a congregation of the United Church of Christ which is a mainland Protestant denomination formed in the year 1957. The Physical and Financial Support of the Rocky Hill Congregational Church is coordinated by the Board of Missions. The board supports all activities of the church for offering social service and other activities as required. Saint Elizabeth Seton Church is a Roman Catholic Community. In line with the Roman Catholic vision of offering social service, this church has separate AIDS ministries. The church was established in May 17th 1984 and to this date it has been a place where the faithful have come to offer their prayers. As we see Rocky Hill has many churches where the faithful can pray. It depends on individual preferences which church a person wants to join.
